RETOUCH-HS envisions to be established as “a medical technology company that delivers robotic solutions to improve the everyday life of people with health problems”.
RETOUCH-HS will research develop and bring into the market a complete product family that targets a wide range of medical problems including rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and orthopedic disorders. The rich products portfolio will expand the target market size by one order of magnitude and will bring the company into the forefront of the medical technology domain. Innovative products require cutting-edge solution and applied research and development. Behind the idea of RETOUCH-HS is the founding team, which is well aware of the fact that the future of the company should be built on highly experienced people with diverse and complementary skills coming from the technological and the medical domain. High quality services, strategic partnerships and structured marketing plans will foster the company’s credibility, visibility and will associate the company’s brand with pioneering technological solutions.
The RETOucH exoskeleton is a robotic rehabilitation system tailored to the needs of each stroke patient.
The RETOucH is a new solution that provides systematic and effective recovery, offering to the patients the opportunity to start the active rehabilitation process right after a stroke incident due to its innovative characteristics. It offers:
- Upper limb movement rehabilitation
- Assisted mobilization
- Friendly exoskeleton feel due to custom Soft Robotic actuators
- Rehabilitation evolution tracking
- Situation awareness to the medical personnel
More than 5 million people per year suffer from stroke incidents. It is anticipated that the numbers will become worse in the next decades. Its our obligation to preserve the independence living of these people.

RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE Project
Robotic Exoskeleton System for hemiplegia Rehabilitation RESTORE
(project code: Τ2ΕΔΚ-05218)
The project RESTORE concerns the research and development of an innovative exoskeleton robotic system suitable for restoring the movement of the upper hemiplegia by stroke. The development of the innovative product thus falls within the broader spectrum of the medical industry, particularly in the field of rehabilitation and treatment. The main scientific idea on which RESTORE is based on is the well known Mirror Therapy Rehabilitation Method. The disadvantage of MirrorTherapy is that the patient does not use the damaged hand in the treatment and all the restoration is based on the healthy hand. The effectiveness of this method lies solely in the provision of visual indications to the brain. However, a routine mechanism that can provide beyond visual indications and aesthetic actions will give more chances of better and immediate improvement of the patient. Essentially, the RESTORE project is the progression of this treatment, with the affected upper limb moving in reality and not lying in hallucinations, triggering more parts of the brain. The RESTORE project aims to help people suffering from a stroke and having a malfunction at the upper limb. The RESTORE consists of two main parts, the robotic hand applied to the hemiplegic upper limb and the control glove, through which the patient controls the whole process of rehabilitation with standard movements that fall into the normal movements that have as a means of replication the kinesiology of the healthy using the sensors.
